Our experienced accent coach will guide you through the process of using phonetics creatively, understanding how accents work, and helping you to perfect your accent for your next self-tape, audition, casting, vlog or presentation.
American and British Accent Training: 1.5hrs – Online only. Private Tutoring only, with an accredited teacher: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40116.
Accent and Dialect Coaching: Theatre, Film, TV, TV Commercial, Podcast, Live Events, Radio voice-overs and narration.
Available in person or online. An ideal workshop, designed for those interested in learning and harnessing how to deliver an authentic standard American or British accent, or any accent for presentation, delivery or performance within a voice-overs, theatre, film, television, radio, corporate functions and/or events.
This workshop covers 6 x stages of preparation: Getting to know the student/s – Knowledge, Understanding and Experience of American or British accent. Warm-ups: Phonetics, Rhyming and Tongue Twisters.
- How to prepare for a cold read.How to analyse a script: Highlighting the ‘pop’ words, emphasis, syllables, beats, pauses, intent and motives.
- How to hear the word first, then speak it: Breaking down the dialogue into phonetic sounds.
- How to monitor our vocal deliver: Breath, Speed, Tone, Pace, Diaphragm, Delivery, Inflection, Emphasis, Nasality and Resonance.
- How to use the dialogue to produce a seamless vocal delivery.
- Recording: Reviewing and providing feedback.
- Recording: A second voice take for homework, and further study.
